love Me mama!

me (cuddling with my daughter on the couch): I love your nose, I love your toes, I love your knees I love you legs, I love your neck, I love your shoulders….

Chi: Mama, you don’t have to love my body!

me: Oh? Why?

Chi: You must just love me!

She is 3.5 and it blows me away that she can instinctively feel she is worth more than the sum of her parts. That she can gently tell me that I need not objectify her into sweet knees, toes and nose. I am humbled.
