Tuesday was my crying day.

I guess the adrenaline and focus that has pushed me through the last two weeks eventually came to an end and Tuesday everything made me cry.

I went to a restorative yoga class at the Maggie centre and I didn’t want to be there, so different from my normal strong energetic yoga practice. Tears seeped from my eyes as I lay on the mat at the beginning of the class, but the teacher was vibrant and joyful and by the end of the class the yoga had done it’s work and I felt that calm centering that yoga brings.

I cried when I went to get my dressings changed at the hospital. Ludy the “wonder nurse” and Alex my “symptoms control” Doctor were wonderful, giving me space and time to cry until I could laugh.

Later still I went to see my regular craniosacral accupuncturist and he got the full waterworks too - tissues flapping and mopping until he stuck enough pins in me to dampen the flow.

I felt better after that.

In the midst of all the tears magic coincidences happened - the universe showing me how I was being cradled in a bubble of kindness and love.

Yesterday one of my “mother-out-laws” left to return to SA and tonight my mum finally arrives and I can’t wait!

Lia thinking of you everyday. I get tears in my eyes everytime I think of what you have to go through, god only know that you are absolutely allowed to cry whenever you feel like it. Enjoy your mom being with you. Keep writing, it help me feel closer to you, not half way around the world.
